This is a great magnetic air vent charging mount for the iPhone 12 Pro and comes with a USB C to USB A charging cable (without the cigarette lighter charge adapter). The mount is secured to the vent by tightening the screw knob until it grips the vent sleep as slat tightly. The magnetic plate can then be positioned by tilting it to your desired position and then tightening a separate screw piece on the back. I had a thin clear plastic case (non MagSafe) on my iPhone which I thought could be fine but I was wrong. The mount holds the phone up at first but after I started driving any bump would knock the phone off the mount. After removing the case, I found that the magnetic mount holds the iPhone very securely even after hitting bumps on the road. For now, I take my case off when I get in the car and put it back on when I get out because I want my phone to be protected from any accidental drops. I just purchased a MagSafe iPhone case online and will update on performance of the magnetic mount with the new case after it arrives.
Overall, I really like this magnetic car mount for the iPhone 12. It's not bulky like other car phone mounts, has a sleek design, I like the blue metallic ring on the outside, getting the phone on and off is super easy, and it simultaneously charges my iPhone. I definitely recommend buying this for your car if you have an iPhone 12, just make sure you're either going case-less or have a MagSafe case so that your phone sticks to the mount securely.
I used the included adhesive base to install the charger/magnetic holder on the top of my center console. It holds the phone well, it charges reliably, and in the 1000 miles I used it so far, the phone has never been close to dislodging.
There are 2 caveats, the ball adapter to attach the mount to the base is on the small side, so it doesn't provide a lot of resistance to turning or movement. And, this is an Apple FYI not a product issue, the nature of the magnets means that you can't readily adjust your phone once it is magnetically attached. If you need to adjust, you have to pull it off and then put it back on at the correct angle.
